ript.net has moved from the old server located in Vernon, BC to a new server located in Edmonton, Alberta.
The new server is pants.ript.net and all other aliases such as www.ript.net, mail.ript.net, ftp.ript.net now point
to pants.
todo is now offline permanently.
Ript.net no longer supports connections via Telnet. You can use an SSH client to connect instead, please
visit the following links for more information on SSH or to download an SSH client if you don't have one
already.
The OLD name servers for ript.net were:
- primary: ns1.ript.net (199.166.227.109)
- secondary: felix.junction.net (199.166.227.5)
- secondary: ns2.beyond.ca (139.142.153.8)
The NEW primary and secondary name servers for ript.net are now final, they are:
- primary: ns1.ript.net (216.194.67.93)
- secondary: ns2.beyond.ca (139.142.153.8)
Notice that the IP address of ns1.ript.net has changed to 216.194.67.93. You should update all domains
that are hosted on ript.net to reference the new servers.

SMTP: Ript.net does not allow you to send email using mail.ript.net to anyone except other ript.net users
in order to prevent the server from being abused. You can send email from your shell using pine
or you can configure your email client to use your ISPs email server to send email for your ript.net account.
POP3: All accounts provide POP3 access for receiving email by default.
IMAP: If you would prefer to use IMAP, contact one of the admins and we will
convert your Mailbox to a Maildir for fast IMAP access (you won't be able to use POP3 any more, the POP3 and
IMAP servers use different mail storage formats).
